Pearls before swine

I just posted some esoteric stuff on an options board...and I got creamed with people dissing me, laughing, etc.

What have been your experiences?

I find each forum and board I join has a "flavor." Before WallStreetBets was well known, I contributed a bunch to that sub-reddit. If you talked about *ANY* sort of technical indicators you got laughed at. Even the more benign ones like RSI and MACD.

Luckily I am a big fan of shrugging my shoulders and moving on. WSB was really only about options plays back in the day.

I think Earik said it best (in a book? video? forum post?), "If it makes you money, who cares?" (Paraphrasing of course. )

I like this forum because anyone can say the silliest thing. And they probably know more than me anyway. So maybe it is me that is the silly one...
