Earik,

Are layers more complicated then just add layer number to each drawing object and use most of interactive hide/show function?? I just thought it’s half a page of programming code as most of the functions are already developed..

One more thing - some drawing objects (especially ellipses and lines) disappear if one of the handles go off screen. Is there any way to prevent it?

Another worn-out subject I’m afraid to touch but... any hope for old forum materials to show up?

Regards,
Ev

Hi Ev,

Yes, it's quite a bit more complicated than that. We'd have to build an easy way to add/remove various tools from different layers, be able to have the user define the layers, etc. It's not crazy, but definitely more than half a page of work.

In the old days, all the drawing tools would disappear when they scrolled off screen. Now things are a lot better, although there are still a few that still behave in that original way. That functionality is definitely on the to-do list.

As for the old forum materials, it's still a mess unfortunately...

...Adding midpoints to the degrees+aspects lists (or setting up a new one for them) shouldn't be a big deal though. That's definitely do-able. ...
Hi Earik,

Any chance to look at midpoints ??

Not yet. Stuck on issues trying to do something fancy with the data feeds... Maybe in Jan.

Perhaps, because so much of the programming requires tomorrow to execute, you could allow the loading of data to always include loading of tomorrows date

Hi Don,

W59 already does that. For every bar in the future that you see on your chart, and as far as you are able to scroll to the right, W59 pre-computes all the astro stuff. That happens when you first load your chart. That way it can access it all very quickly when needed, rather than doing a ton of lookups, etc, in the moment. Computers are fast enough now where it probably doesn't matter, but back in 2001 or so, it made a pretty noticeable difference when using astro tools.

Regards,

Earik
