IB Spread Client question
IB Spread Client question
I've used SpreadIB for years with W59, but have noticed some intermittent issues with volume prints recently.
I'd like to ask the author about this, but can't remember who did it and none of the software or documentation is signed. It was posted to the old board as freeware 5 or six years ago, maybe longer. Can anyone here who uses SpreadIB steer me in the right direction?
Thanks.
Todd

Re: IB Spread Client question
Hi Todd,
sorry for my delay.
In fact, I was off for a long time.
I my self haven't noticed these divergences in volume price data.
However, I 've an update of SpreadIB including the latest client libraries from IB.
This may solve the issue probably without further investigation.
Some configuration files have changed with the new version of SpreadIB.
I'll have to explain that in a short digest.
That's why I will post the update next week
and hope, that it fixes your issues.
Kind regards
Christoph

Re: IB Spread Client question
Well, it's ready.
Earik, due to access restrictions I can't upload the zip archive which is about 3 MB large.
Please could you assign an adequate permission.
This SpreadIB version
is compiled with the recent IB client libraries.
Some bug fixing and some additional features (see documentation) are added as well.
If you update SpreadIB,
then please save your original settings.xml file (config\settings.xml)
before you extract this new version.
Afterwards restore your backuped file.
Kind regards Christoph

Re: IB Spread Client question
Forgive my ignorance, but what is SpreadIB?
And more importantly do I need this?

Re: IB Spread Client question
Hi Sbank,
It's Christoph's alternative to the History59 utility that comes with W59. It's a data collector for Interactive Brokers. It can create spreads, and it can also download history from the night session, which are both limitations to H59. You only need it if you are using IB for data.

Earik
