Data feed for W59

Post by rlite4 » Sun Mar 01, 2020 12:34 pm

Hi Earik
Greetings,
Can you please point me to where data feed options are discussed, I am trying to figure out the least expensive one during learning phase.

Also saw somewhere that Kinetics is a white labeled IQ feed version - any comments regarding this?

Thanks
Srj.

Hi Srj,

Here you go: http://www.wave59.com/About/GeniusFeatu ... eData.aspx.

We actually have quite a few free ones now:
The built-in W59 feed (for US Stocks)
Oanda (for Forex, requires a free account)
Kraken (for Cryptos)
IB (but only if you have a live account, which isn't free)

IQFeed is still the best bet for real time and breadth of market, but you do have to pay. Kinetics did white label a delayed version of that, and if I remember, they use their own servers, etc, which are less industrial strength than DTN's. So it's more based on IQ than white labeled, but again, that's as far as I know as of a few years ago. I'm not sure if W59 can connect with that one or not tbh. I suspect they'd have disabled API access into the IQ client app, but if there's a trial available, you could always check and see.
