Hi all,
Just wanted to let people know that I have created a new VolumeProfile script and uploaded it to the Library here :
http://www.wave59.com/library/scriptdetail.asp?id=198
Feel free to download and use it.
Example of it in use in the screenshot below.
There are notes on how to use the parameters in the script if you feel like changing any of them, but it is not necessary to make any changes to the parameters for normal use. The script will automatically re-draw every time a new bar begins, and the profile is drawn for all visible bars on the screen. So if you want to see the profile for more or fewer bars, just shrink or stretch the number of bars you can see on the chart.
If you don't want to wait for the profile to update automatically, just press CTRL-K.
Cheers,
Daz

Re: VolumeProfile script
Hi folks!
Following feedback from a friend and longstanding contributor to this forum, Joseph Feinberg, I have created a second version of my Volume Profile script, which can be found here :
http://www.wave59.com/library/scriptdetail.asp?id=202
Just use the 2 hotspots to mark out the range that you want the volume profile to be calculated for, and this is shown on the chart alongside any other similar regions selected. As you can see from the screenshot on the script download page, the profile can be shown to the left or right of the range, and the range is highlighted at the price level represented by the first hotspot selected.
I hope you find this script useful.
Cheers,
Daz

Re: VolumeProfile script
Are the two hotspots time or price? (I can see value in both...)
Re: VolumeProfile script
The hotspots are to mark the time range to calculate the volume profile for.
