Scaling for Forex

Post by DC1 » Fri Sep 27, 2019 8:48 pm

I know the SP price count is 24 units per cycle  and it works well to divide the circle into thirds quarters
makes the potential turning points known well ahead of time

I am sure the Currencies have theirs as well.
Does anyone have their eph price count for any of the currency pairs

Other basic insights would be appreciated

Hi DC1,

Could you explain the derivation and use of the number 24? What does it represent?

That would help in answering your question.

Thanks.

DC,

Try 10 or 100 or 1000 pips per 360 degrees. That should work alright. 24 points per 360 works well for the ES, but not sure if that would translate over to FX. If you want to try it, just think in terms of pips rather than points. I'm assuming you're talking about getting the eph linked up to the chart for degrees-to-price calculations. If you're just talking about scaling itself, I'd ditch the 24 and use round numbers like 10/100/1000 pips per bar.
