Re: own data feed, ASCII. Update wave59 update periodically?
Simple answer would be to create a Qscript to just do the ctrl-k (recalculate_all()). From the QSript help file: if (barnum == 108) Recalculate_All( ); # the chart will be recalculated when bar 108 arrives You could also probably just use file_read() instead (and either clear() or overwrite whatever...

Re: proprietary trader assist strategy.
I was thinking along these lines at some point in my trading adventures. I was doing something a little more regimented though. My idea (which is really quite common practice), was to determine trend by a higher timeframe (say a 2 hour chart), Have that write to a file. Maybe keeping it simple, firs...

Re: pyramid news
The Ancient Alien series on the History channel had an episode around the fact that the pyramids were thought to be giant powerplants.
I believe this was the episode:

Re: Moving stops w/QScript
IB doesn't make it easy with OCO groups, so you have to cancel-replace the entire thing Side question, how does this work via modifying the order off the chart? I can just doubleclick the order and change number of contracts, limit/stop price, etc. It works quite nicely from this interface. I was h...

Moving stops w/QScript
Is there a mechanism to move an already existing stop w/QScript from an IB perspective? For example, if I have something like this: ref2=IB_PlaceOrder("sell",contracts,stop,"stop","gtc",myoco); And the price action is moving in my favor. I would like to either tighten my stop, or do a trailing stop....

Re: Any Hive users?
So I have pretty much given up on intraday Hives. Now focusing on more of the daily hives. Most of my hive attempts have been sub-par. Anyone willing to share some good recipes? (I tried all the "Chicago" variants and they didn't really seem that successful to me.) The best I came up with is one bas...

Re: WINDOWS 10
Hi, I have been using Windows 10 for the past year (whenever MSFT did its big push for Windows 7 users.) I have had zero problems with Wave59. My experiences have been quite favorable. I update Windows to the latest patches/releases on the weekends. And I keep up with running the latest Wave59 when ...

Re: Problem with screen capture
I just tried this as a test. (Running Windows 10 latest version, and Wave59 2.34.) I had no problems saving a screenshot. The dialogbox to enter a filename was also very quick to pop up and ask for a destination. Maybe try to run Wave59 as an administrator (right-click and run-as administrator). I d...
