Re: 2.24 notes
Hi Joseph, Make sure you are running the most up-to-date version of IQC. I forgot to update the version number last time (whoops  ), so I've attached the latest to this post just to be sure. Download, unzip, then overwrite your current one. This takes advantage of IQFeed's most recent protocol...

Re: new Dr. Al chart
I missed what was special about them... Is it just a green line on close with a thick dark green blob around it?

Re: 2.24 notes
Hi Joseph, I know you asked ND, but I'm sitting right here and can easily answer, so here you go: The answer to your first question can be found two posts above: Go File - New - OrderFlow Chart, and you'll see it. It's a new module altogether, not an addition to the charting module that already exis...

Re: Interactive Brokers
Hi Nagib,
No security definition means that you either have the wrong symbol, or you haven't set the symbol definitons up properly. If it's coming from History59 and not W59, then it's a bad symbol. For the ES, use ES_FUT_201606_GLOBEX. Stocks are like IBM_STK_SMART.

Earik

Re: Daylight Saving Truncation Error
Hi Christer, If you install via the big install file, then you need to close down IQC as well, since it will get overwritten (there's an update in there). So I'd wait until after hours, or the weekend, and do it then. Alternatively, just shut it down, do the install, and then fill in your gaps by re...

Re: Daylight Saving Truncation Error
Thanks for the detailed write-up. I figured this one out. It's an issue with the daylight savings routine. It's fixed, and 2.25 is going up in about an hour.

Earik

Re: 2.24 notes
Hi Christer, The data is stored in US Eastern Time format, but then gets converted to local time on the fly. Looks like it's having an issue knowing to grab from the previous day to get your first 6 hours. I'll check it out. Hi ND, Go File - New - OrderFlow Chart, and you'll see it. It's a new modul...

2.24 notes
Hi All, 2.24 just went out. One of the bigger updates in there has to do with using a new IQFeed api protocol, so you need to make sure that your IQFeed client is completely up-to-date before you get on 2.24. Go to http://www.iqfeed.net and you can download it there. If you launch 2.24 and the price...

Re: drawing lines in the future
Hi Q, Does it have to be a drawing tool with hotspots? If you can use trendlines instead, that would really simplify things. Trendlines work with barnumbers, so if you get the barnumber for your target line, you can draw it in the future. Vertical trendlines just have price1 = 0, price2 = some big n...

Re: Systems Workshop: "Buttonwood" E-mini daytrading system
Hi Orion,
Actually, yes, I do. Here you go! Use it on a daily chart, and it will plot the filters out ahead of time so you can find those days when trades will happen.

Earik
