Re: Using Truncated Data
PS: Till last night I was getting ready to ask a question on the forum about how to make a versions of the Fibo Vortex, FOG, and other patterns, where I could modify the properties of the lines, arcs and spirals, make selected visible or less so - to be able to superpose multiple and keep-visible ge...

Re: Using Truncated Data
Joe, One word for that chart: Beautiful! Thanks for the 60% Guide. But that one chart says so much and raises a bunch of questions. The 10 degree offset mirror plus scale increase (?)% for second vortex - does that always hold or is that a manual adjustment? if so says so many things. Have to explor...

Using Truncated Data
Greetings, In a properly scaled chart geometry should work, however while working with a chart with RTH data only I was expecting geometry to not be effective across trading sessions (i.e. beyond the RTH for the day). So a few questions arise and I am trying to put them down so it makes sense :? In ...
Re: Data
Below is an example chart of ES 2m data for back testing. A few things came to mind though after suggesting in the previous post of using historical data for back testing. After fiddling around with historical data for backtesting and coming up with a possible set of rules to trade by, nothing beats...
Re: Data
Hi Mark, I tried IQ feed delayed which Earik pointed out. It works real well for "forward" (hope I picked the correct word) testing in current markets. However with the delayed feed, intraday history data is limited to some number of days. So if want to back test method(s) you may need additional hi...

Re: back to Fibo Vortex
Hi Joe,
thanks for listing the steps for moving and resizing the indicators. Took me a little while to figure out which one was the adjustable indicator dropdown menu but was easy after that.
regards,
srj

Re: back to Fibo Vortex
..... Most of the issues in developing good tools comes down to figuring out how to move all the assumptions and preconceptions that you've packed into your brain long enough to be able to see what's actually going on, which is way harder than it ought to be... Hi Earik, agreed - still trying to ge...
