Re: Dow Industrials - the next 6 months

Thanks, guys, but whether or not this forecast works out still remains to be seen. Keep in mind that it's a really long term view, with something like 2-3 turns in a whole year. Don't forget my comment about +/- 28 days, which tells you what sort of cycles are at play here - BIG ones! Give it 6 mont...

Re: ES (energy perspective) coming into the weekend

Hi Dc,

You need to be using the "IQCollector" data feed. You won't have access unless you're on that. You'll see a new tab in the chart settings form under that feed.

Re: Action Zones

Hi Joseph, I'm unable to reproduce your 1min bar issue. The whole point of adding the "build using 1-min bars" option is to align the ohlc values according to the start/end times on your chart, which might be different than what is calculated by your data vendor. This was a big deal at one point usi...

Re: Action Zones

So I guess no action is needed Earik, not sure one was coming anyway :) , but all good now. Glad you got it working. I wasn't looking forward to trying to figure out what was up there, but the 1-min bars make sense. Action zones are very sensitive to open/close/high/low values, so if those change e...

Re: Transform code into QScript

Hi Budhi, If there is EasyLanguage (TradeStation) code, that's probably the closest. Copy and paste that into the QScript editor, then click on the "convert" option in the menu, and W59 will get it pretty close for you. Alternatively, you can always write from scratch. Moving averages are pretty eas...

Re: Dow Industrials - the next 6 months

Hi Andrew,

It doesn't change, so it's exactly the same as in the first post.

Re: Wish list

Hi Todd,

Now that we've got the IQCollector utility, this is definitely do-able. I'm still trying to fix a couple bugs in that program though, but once it's done, second charts will be very easy to add.

Re: Ephemeris and bar counter tool inquiry

Hi Dubs, 1)Is there anyway to enable 2 decimal or even 3 decimal places for latitude / declination values in the ephemeris. Really comes in handy for slower planets. Not yet, but that could be added. You could program a script to do it though, using the astro_declination( ) function. Add a hotspot, ...

Re: Genetic algorithm for intraday trading

Kurt: Do you understand multi-threading? if you don't, you don't need a better computer, since your code is running on only one thread. That's actually more of a programming thing than a computer thing. I'm not sure if VB allows multiple threads or not. One clumsy (but doable) workaround in that ca...

Re: Genetic algorithm for intraday trading

Hi Kurt, Very cool project you're working on! Thanks for sharing. I'm sure you've thought of this already, but be very careful with aligning the different time frames together. I remember doing something similar at one point, and my results were so awesome that I thought I had the holy grail of mach...
