Re: Volume Delta Charts

Hi Earik, will try on Monday, Thanks. The reason I got interested in volume charts is because to my surprise this type of a chart showed big respect for various technical methods including Fibs, as can be seen a little in the lower chart....and there is quite a bit more, will show when done testing....

Volume Delta Charts

Hi Earik, Below is example of what I was talking about a few weeks ago. I usually have to re-download current days data and refresh the chart every 30-60 min. otherwise what is shown below happens. It seems somewhere during live trading either DTN is not sending correct bid/offer trade executions, o...

Re: FIBS....

Hi Soldato1976, Good chart, thanks. Vortex can be a great tool in knowledgeable hands. I used to use it also, but certain amount of subjectivity which simply has to be used with this tool - makes a bit more difficult to "lean" on during live trading. Anyway, let me show what else helped to stop the ...

FIBS....

Hi everyone, For the ones who use Fibonacci Levels in their trading.....recent high in S&P's should not have been a surprise, especially for those who attended last PUC in London. There are other interesting relationships at the high, but 161.8% retracement extension of such important swings should ...

Re: Energy Trading - July 22

Hi Earik,

Yes, I understand how the process works, but values are different after reload every hour or so. It seems like some ticks escape especially during active times.

Re: Energy Trading - July 22

Hi Earik, No, just recalculating doesn't fix it, it seems ticks are missed and/or calculations are off. It's hard to explain, it's like let's say volume chart has been going lower for a while, and now shows volume of -100K, if I reload data, for today only, the look of volume chart will often not ch...

Re: Energy Trading - July 22

Hi Earik,

I like the new volume charts, but running in to a problem of having to reload current day's data pretty frequently, otherwise volume plot is inaccurate. Have you noticed this on your volume charts ?

Re: Cowan could be the reincarnation of W.D. Gann?

Well said Earik. There is a lot to be said for how different Markets are from away back then, or even from 20 years ago for that matter. A few of my friends were floor traders back in the 80's, one traded Bonds and the other Soybeans. At that time simply by being on the floor semi decent traders cou...
