Earik,
It would be great if we could have 30 second and 10 second bars available for charting on Wave 59. That's standard on all other platforms now, and opens up a whole new world.
What do you think?

Re: SPY monthly price and time
Each time frame/sample rate contributes its own unique data points. So you don't need to "force" yourself to look at the end of month close, its the only action called for here. As far as updates, the model is "in play," working as projected. On this time frame, it would be violated only by a close ...

Re: SPY monthly price and time
Joe,
Just think of Borges' cartographers. The chart is the map/the map is the chart. It's all right there. Just read from left to right.

SPY monthly price and time
This is a particularly strong resistance area for SPY. If it were a hurricane, it would be a category 5.

Re: Predicted trends - are they useful?
Hi all, Here's an example from today illustrating what I was writing about in my last post here. The chart is ES 4min, scale 0.25 x 2/bar. All the trend lines are "Gann" lines, just abstracted from the fan for clarity. These lines can create channels or single instance trend lines, which if broken a...

If you don't have a scaled chart, you have to do cumbersome calculations with a spreadsheet. Using a scaled chart is much qu...

question for the board
Is anyone else having problems with the W59 trading off the chart tool? Buy, sell lines sticking on charts and not erasing after fills? Stuff like that. That's what happens to me. Does anyone else use this tool?
Thanks for any and all input.

Re: Trading Off Charts Problem
Right -- it "feels" like an API issue. Things as they are are not insurmountable, but that of course adds to the pointing and clicking burden of daily trading.
Best of luck with this!

Trading Off Charts Problem
Hi Earik, My Trading Off Chart feature, which I dearly love, is acting up. Orders will go through IB to both enter and close a position when using the standard horizontal red or blue line to set the level for the trigger. But after a fill, the red line remains on the chart and does not go away even ...
