Re: IQ Feed charts getting cut off

Hi Neb, Adding days in the future beyond the current day is the correct way to add space on the right. I usually add a week or so there so I have space for tools and don't have to mess with it too often. When you say W59 is cutting the chart off, can you explain what you mean? Or if you could post a...

Re: new bar type request

Hi Todd, It's on the list. The biggest issue is building the data collection portion to allow for this kind of thing. It's actually half done, but doesn't support all the feeds yet. This is one of those multi-year projects that seems to be dragging on forever, unfortunately. At some point, all these...

WJA chart from KJ

Hi Gang, A W59 user just sent me an email (and chart) about a stock he's been following for quite some time and told me that I should post it somewhere on the site to brag about some of W59's tools. wja.png 9-5 Count issued two blue 9's at a double bottom, alongside bullish momentum diverg...

Re: IB Connectivity question

Hi Guys, This is one of those things that has been a thorn in my side for a few years now. I've taken a couple runs at trying to fix it, and, Todd as my witness :? , have seemed to pull off a face plant every time. I'll mess with it again soon, and see if I have any other ideas. I think it has to do...

Re: Chicago Day Trading seminar!!!

ND - thanks for the update! I've known that guy for years. He actually attended the first Las Vegas PUC, so he's one of us. Maybe there's a way to get some of his stuff programmed. He gave me a massive to-do list last year, so I'm (slowly) trying to get items from there into the program. S...

Re: Pivots scripts

Hi Todd, The best way to do that is to use trendlines as the pivot lines rather than plot1/plot2/etc. You would draw them in the first bar of the day, and you would also erase any old ones. That way the pivot lines are only active on the most recent day. The trick is that you have to save all of you...

Re: Pivots scripts

Hi Todd, You'd have to write one that performed the calculation. If you are talking about converting a high-low range to bars, you could do it with trendlines. So: if (barnum == barsback) { # get the prices, and a starting point price1 = hotspot_to_price(1); price2 = hotspot_to_price(2); bar1 = hots...

Re: Pivots scripts

Hi Simon, Thanks for sharing the code. I made a mistake writing that last section off the top of my head, which is part of the problem. Should be day!=day[1], rather than day[-1]. The other part is that you have to set the style for all the plots, in your case 7 of them. So if you change it t...

Re: Pivots scripts

Hi Simon, If you have a script you like, but just want to alter it, that could be done. There's a plot style called "ps_clear", which is basically invisible. At the bar at the end of the day, you can change your plot style from "ps_solid" (the default) to ps_clear, and then change it back to ps_soli...
